// about

A friendly cipher tool.

Ciphriend is a small web tool for encoding, decoding, and visualizing ciphers — from classical substitutions to modern crypto primitives. It's named after the two things it tries to be at once: cipher and friend.

Every operation runs in your browser. No server, no telemetry, no logging. The architecture is the privacy promise — we can't peek at your inputs because we never see them.

Visualization

Educational ciphers come with a per-character visualization showing what the cipher is actually doing. The substitution-style ones (Caesar, ROT13, Atbash, Vigenère) share a generic visualizer; ciphers with a unique shape (Rail Fence, Base64, Morse, frequency analysis) get bespoke ones.
